People ask us all the time, "How did you meet?". We usually have to pause, wondering what reaction we're going to get from the asker. The truth is, we sort of "met" on Compuserve.
It was about March of 1995, there was an ongoing discussion of "True Love" - some hapless chap was questioning the existence of True Love. Beth replied that it happens once in a lifetime, and that she was still waiting. Paul jumped in that he hoped it happened more than once in a lifetime, since he had it once and lost it, and was hoping to find it again. Our public notes soon went to e-mail, where we discovered joint interests in sushi, computers, music, and sushi (oh, did I mention that one already?). Soon, the decision was made to meet - at a sushi place (where else?). The rest, as they say, is history...
